Full Day Safari at Inverdoorn Game Reserve excl. Transfer
- About 5 hours
Inverdoorn offers an unforgettable safari experience including several different species of animals including Cheetah, Rhino, rare Cape Barbary Lion, Elephant, Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippo, Letchwe and Oryx to mention a few. Lunch is served at the lodge after the game drive.
At Inverdoorn, we understand that visiting an African Safari is a once off opportunity, so our safaris are specifically set up for visitors to get maximum first-hand African wild animal interaction. Visitors can track animals on 3-hour game drives in our specifically designed Land Rover 4x4 game viewing vehicles with rangers on hand to help you find the animals and provide accurate, up-to-date information of flora and fauna.
Inverdoorn is committed to providing visitors with maximum exposure and information to our huge number of wild animals and bird life.
The Klein Karoo was once filled with members of the big five and other natural life. However, they were virtually wiped out due to settlement and agricultural development. Inverdoorn played a significant ecological role in South Africa by re-introducing endemic species to the region. The lions and elephants seen on safari are all Big 5 members that have been rescued by the team at Inverdoorn.

The lodge is great however don't expect a lot from the game drives. It's not complete wilderness, most wild animals are rescued and fenced. But overall a good experience since you do get close to the animals. Not a bad option if you are only visiting Cape Town
Had a great time. Staff was super nice and helpful. The head ranger was also our guide and we saw all of the animals: giraff, buffalo, lions, cheetas, rhinos, elephants, hippos, and more. Highly recommended. Not sure why anyone would give this place 1 star.
Nice lodge,, clean area and bathrooms, good food, but the safari is like in a zoo safari. The animals are getting feed and there are not so many.
I came to see the cheetahs and i saw them. The ranger could get out of the jeep every where and spoke loud. There was absolutely nothing to fear from the buffaloes, elephant's or cheetahs. They are tame.
If you just want to see animals it's OK, but it's not the real thing.
A drive of almost 3 hours
Beautiful drive out to the reserve, greeted by very friendly staff, our guide was knowledgeable and answered all my questions, we found all the big 5 game animals and more. Lunch after was nice, they made a special dish for my vegetarian mom. My family and I had a really great time, met all my expectations.
Horribly overpriced place. The price is about 120€ and you still have to pay if you dont want to drink just water. this is not even real safari this is more like a zoo with rescued animals. was exited to see giraffe but they "didn't find one", even though they have "many of them". you cant even get close to the animals. never visit this place! believe me.
First visit. Spent 24 hrs at beautiful Inverdoorn. Had two game drives late afternoon & very early morning. Vanessa the game ranger was knowledgeable, interesting and took us to see all the big five. The accomodation was delightful and the meals absolutely outstanding - fully 5*. We were most impressed with the staff who went out of their way to make our stay outstanding. Because it is winter the animals weren't out in abundance and they had just had plenty of rain. But the rest of the stay was charming. The roads to the game farm are under repair so should be good shortly.
Totally amazing place to relax and enjoy nature. Food staff and everything is just fantastic highly recommend always
