An guided walk in Robberg Nature Reserve. Robberg is home to an incredible variety of wildlife such as the diminutive Blue Duiker, the huge gathering of seals on the rocks between Kanonkoelgat and Duikerkrans. Humpback dolphins and bottlenose dolphins frequent the inshore waters. Southern Right whales visit between May and November to give birth to their young. Humpback whales and Bryde’s Whales can occasionally also be seen. The peninsula is a birdwatchers paradise with numerous endemic species present as well as pelagic seabirds.

Red and the team made this a simply awesome and super fun afternoon!
+ Well organised and run. Never felt like we were just hanging around not knowing what to do.
+ Fun, engaging and really friendly at the base point. All the kit and equipment handed out spot on and super clean.
+ We were so lucky to see 🐟 (Sun fish), dolphins 🐬 (like 50!), and seals!!
+ The skipper 🚤 was fun and friendly, willing to show and educate and point out things if you missed them.
+ Made us feel super safe and secure especially considering the area has shark 🦈 sightings.
. Only thing would be to have more than 1 outdoor shower 🚿 . Doesn’t have to be anything posh, just something to have a quick wash after in your swimming 🏊♂️ kit.
We couldn’t recommend this enough! A must do in Plettenberg and the area as a whole. I’d come back and do it again and again and not be bored.
This was possibly one of the most amazing trips I have taken. We went to just off the coast of Robberg Nature Reserve where we could snorkel with the seals. What a beautiful experience. They are very inquisitive so will come nice and close.
Such fun! The seals were super rad. Kinda scary though -- their teeth are much sharper seeming close up! Waves are really strong so be careful. My sister got seasick as she got back on the boat after swimming with the seals. We had trouble finding our pictures on the site -- the pictures on our date/time were not our pictures, but hopefully that will get sorted soon. Definitely recommend this experience, but its a one-time kind of thing for me!
One of the most incredible experiences I have ever had. Besides the excitement of being able to be in the water with these beautiful creatures in their natural habitat, you have the most knowledgeable guides who tell you all the ins and outs and who make you feel very safe. Not just the seals who have the friendly faces. Thank you to all the great staff for everything Especially Rederick! I will most definitely do this trip again with you guys !
