Departure point

The Aquila Cape Town safari trip is offered with or without transport to the reserve. Guests will be collected from their hotel or guesthouse in Cape Town and transferred to Aquila Game Reserve. ( For Transport Collections a Driver will contact the guest the night before to arrange a collection time )

Self drive guests are informed to depart Cape Town approximately the same time as the tour provided with transport.

Return point

Drop off back at hotel or guesthouse in CBD area only.

Maximum weight restriction for quad bike & horseback safaris 95kg and no children under 16 allowed Itinerary & Collection times are guidelines only and subject to change to allow for seasonality All rates are quoted in ZAR (SA Rand) Vat inclusive and quoted per person No Shows, 100% of full amount payable Cancellations made within 24 hours of date of arrival, 100% of rate payable Cancellations within 0 - 14 days of date of arrival, 100% of rate payable Cancellations within 15 - 45 days of date of arrival, 50% of rate payable Group Bookings: a non-refundable deposit may be requested and specially negotiated cancellation policy will apply to any bookings which exceeds 25% of our capacity (day trip and overnight)

You can't review the experience of the actual safari because everyone will witness something different depending on the time of day and temperament of the animals. We saw rhinos playing, elephant showering itself and a lion chilling in it's den in the distance. As for the facility itself, the buffet was average. The welcome drinks were refreshing. The guide was too soft-spoken to hear. The pools were relaxing.

We had a great time! Personally i felt one night with two game drives was enough. You can also ride horses and quads If you wish! Lovely rooms, breakfast is good with buffet style at dinner too. Tour guides were fantastic sharing knowledge on the animals and answering questions. Definitely recommend.

I was there. Saw it with my own eyes. Best food. Nice mountain views. Nice jungle game smell. Animals, swimming pool, Big 5 and small animals including hippos. I can't explain everything go see yourself.... I'm happy and the place deserve more stars

Incredible experience, the guide was so informative and knowledgeable, I saw all of the big 5 and we got SO CLOSE to basically everything. The hotel room (get the balcony one If You can) is beautiful. And even though the food is a buffet, it was still great. The little touches like getting free sparkling wine on arrival was great. Also, the spa is lovely, I had an amazing massage. Obviously the star of the show is the animals and honestly, one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Amazing place.

This place is awesome!!! We decided to go to the early morning safari as I think the animals are more active because it is cooler, we also decided to drive there ourselves as it is almost double the price for a transfer! We were a little apprehensive at first about driving at night after reading all the horror stories but it was absolutely fine and we both felt safe the whole way. We did think that we were lost as it is literally in the middle of nowhere but if you keep going you eventually see the signs. The place is so beautiful and tranquil, and quiet and peaceful that we really didn't want to leave. We saw nearly all the big 5 and very close to some of them, if you want to see the leopards you have to go in the evening as they are nocturnal, and the lions are a hit and miss because they just laze in the sun wherever they want. The guide was SO good, his name was Charlie and he knew so much about all the animals and answered all our questions thoroughly with patience and humour. To top it all off there was a delicious breakfast with continental and full English options. Really good quality food and drinks, lovely waiting staff. Everyone is there to great you with a smile. Very pleased overall. If you are thinking of going just GO!!!
