Description

See Cape Point from a different angle. Jump into the water with the Cape fur Seals and have a blast with the clowns of the sea. The Cape fur Seal activity is available all year and anybody is welcome to join in on this activity.

Get that photo you always see in the National Geographic magazine. Make a pass through Smitswinkel bay and Buffels bay past the Dias crosses and close to the cliffs below the historic lighthouse that leads up to the point. Visit the Roman Rock Lighthouse – the only lighthouse on our coast to have been erected on a single rock. We often see penguins, whales and a whole range of seabirds on trips down to the tip of the peninsula.

Jump into the water with the Cape fur Seals and have a blast with the clowns of the sea. On our way back from Cape Point we stop at Partridge Point that is home to a few hundred seals. They are extremely curious and playful and will entertain divers and snorkelers alike. They mostly hang around the surface when they are in the water but will dive down to 25 metres to Scuba divers. The Cape fur Seal activity is available all year and anybody is welcome to join in on this activity.

Rough itinerary: Meet at Pisces Divers at 09h00 / Collect equipment, sign indemnities / Briefing for tour / Head down to Simons Town harbour @10h00 / Board the boat at Simons Town Pier / Proceed to Cape Point, Partridge Point (seal snorkel or surface viewing) and Roman Rock Lighthouse / Return to Pisces Divers at roughly 13h00 for hot showers, coffee and lunch.

Really fantastic dive school with great staff who were incredibly enthusiastic about what they do. Knowledge regarding dives and marine life was on par and we cannot wait to book a second dive with this school.

Did a few dives with these guys and apart from the cold water and particularly bad weather on 1 dive, things were very good. Great staff, and the equipment used is very good.

Great experience. Very available and welcoming staff. Recent and well maintained gear. Idle times are not a problem thanks to the comfortable reception area eqipped with a bar. Logistics are simple, some walking is required but without the need to carry gear (for boat dives). Waters are freezing but sites are completely worth it. All boat operations were conducted very professionally and safely. Fair prices. Recommended!!

The staff was really nice and knew the area super well. Diving was easy but quite cold. Everything was absolutely incredible and the staff was very helpful with any and all difficulties I had. I would definitely dive with them again.

Not a good experience overall, no empathy for inconvenients.
I paid upfront for the package dive (seal and kelp), I went there on my own from Cape Town (from a 15 days trip around South Africa as my unique holidays; I am from Spain). must say my experience in diving is very irregular as i dive very seldom, so i usually ask many questions and expect a lot of help from staff and dive masters. When I arrived, there was not much help to advice on equipment (they gave my some super flexible fins which i ended up being super unstable and clumsy swimming with them under the sea, never tried this type before), the swimsuit hat was also not very comfortable and couldn't zip it up all the way to my upper neck. First dive was a nightmare, bad weather, lost my weights belt once on the surface of the water and after the dive I started to feel awfully sick. Seemed like I had dehydration and exhaustion, probably from previous food poisoning from days before of my trip, and even though i so much wanted to do the second dive, i felt sick, weak, frozen and unable to keep up, so i asked to return back to the dive center once we had a brief stop with the boat. One person of the staff came to pick me up. However when I asked for a part of a reimbursement of the amount of money that i paid (it takes me a couple full days of work to earn the money that the package costed), they totally refused to give back any money at all, even if i did not do the 2nd dive, which was really the opposite of trying to engage with clients (they probably knew I was not going to come back, living so far away, and did not care a damn whether I paid the full amount but did not do both dives). Also i did not receive any info of my first dive to note down on my divelog book, nor they offered me any treats or food to recover from my exhausted and poor health situation; so I grapped my things and drove back to my hotel in Cape Town to never return back there.

I wouldn't recommend this diving site, I've been in many different ones around the world, had my PADI certificate for almost 10 years and still I don't think this was the way to treat a diver client and help/deal with any problem that might come up unplanned.

Ok for soft-gear, opens early, had issues with hard-gear leaking at the gauge. Equipment could be in better condition. Check gear for leaks before leaving the shop.
