Afternoon Shark Trip - Simons Town
- About 4 hours
Afternoon shark cage diving from Simon’s Town. Scuba gear available on all dives.
Our trips run from Simon's Town, which is only 40 to 50 minutes from Cape Town. The species you will encounter is determined by the time of year you join us. With the Great White season generally falling between February/March and August/September.
Our afternoon shark cage diving trips are made up of groups between 12 and 18 pax, depending on the time of year we go to the island. Dive time averages around 20 minutes, depending on shark activity. If there is sufficient time and all guests have had an opportunity to dive, a second dive is allowed, but this is at the skippers’ discretion. Our crew is highly trained and safety is of utmost importance. Transfers available at an additional cost. Return transfers from designated pick-up points in and around Cape Town. Should you require a transfer from another area, please ask as we are able to arrange this for you too.

I was recommended this place by the Youtube influencers Kara and Nate. I couldn't have asked for a better recommendation. They are the only shark cage company in Simon's Town and one of the few eco-charters in Cape Town. They run an incredibly ethical business and have amazing service. I had the most incredible time and was able to see many great white sharks both breaching and also in the cage. I went a few years ago back when there were great white in the bay. Since then I have heard they have been pushed out by orcas. However, if there are different sharks to see then this is the company to go with. I can't recommend them enough. I had a once-in-a-lifetime experience with them and the excellent service made it the perfect memory.
Also I should have led with this but they give you a scuba regulatory in the cage. I did a lot of research before and they are the only company I could find that did that. It made the experience so so so much better. I can't emphasize enough the difference in experience you will have with a regulator instead of a snorkel.
Friendly People. No white sharks at sealisland this hole year . So the only thing you will see are the 7 Gill shark also named cowshark.
Unbelievable customer service! Nadine went above and beyond to provide the ultimate experience for us. I would highly recommend using African Shark Eco-Charters and will be back!
We booked for a trip that we never did and they charged 100% of our credit card for no reason.
Distrust Karen who is the most deviant person of the group : she has never proposed anyhing else and it is impossible to discuss with her .
she only charges yoor credit card and that's all ... To avoid absolutely that company
Awesome experience with an awesome crew. They worked hard and their dedication gave us awesome views of great white sharks! Very easy to book online and office staff were helpful and pleasant!
